Mize

Mize similar to Meze in eastern Mediterranean countries is used to describe a number of different appetisers taken with a pre-lunch drink or a couple of beers when socialising.

Hobz

Bread remains a staple food of many Maltese families and possibly takes pride of place amongst local specialities. The traditional Hobza and Ftira are still baked in wood burning ovens.
Ftira biz-Zejt, Kunserva u Mbarazz €4.45
Flat bread bun spread with tomato paste and filled with a mixture of tuna, anchovy, capers, olives, beans, mint and marjoram.

Ftira l-Forn

This is the Maltese village version of a pizza. A flat bread loaf is cut horizontally through the middle piled with delicious ingredients and put back in the oven. The exterior is beautifully crunchy, the inside soft. We have borrowed the mozzarella from our Neapolitan cousins. Dig in.

During the winter months our Ftira is served from Monday to Friday 19.00 - 23.00 and on Saturday & Sunday 12.00 (noon) - 23.00
